LIVE DEMOWhat was built
QuirkCart is a modern, fully responsive e-commerce platform built for a seamless shopping experience. Customers browse categories and manage a dynamic cart; administrators manage products with variants and track the business from a dashboard. Product images are handled through Cloudinary and sign-in through NextAuth with a MongoDB adapter.
- 01Effortlessly browse diverse product categories and manage a dynamic shopping cart.
- 02Upload and manage products with detailed attributes like categories, pricing, and specific variants such as color or storage.
- 03A comprehensive dashboard to track total revenue, trending items, and recent payment history.
- 04Product image uploads through Cloudinary, with charts for revenue and trends (MUI X-Charts).
- 05Authentication with NextAuth.js backed by MongoDB.
Inside the build

Product management
Upload and edit products with categories, pricing and variants.
Admin dashboard
Total revenue, trending items, recent payments and charts.

Architecture
Next.js 15 App Router — storefront and admin in one full-stack app
MongoDB + Mongoose — products, categories, variants, orders
NextAuth.js + MongoDB adapter — authentication and sessions
Cloudinary — product image uploads and delivery
MUI + Tailwind CSS — dashboard UI, charts and responsive storefront
Decisions & trade-offs
One Next.js app, end to end
Storefront, product management and admin dashboard live in a single full-stack app, so catalogue, cart and order data stay consistent.
Variants as first-class data
Products carry detailed attributes — category, pricing and variants such as colour or storage — instead of flat product rows.
Managed media, not local files
Product images go through Cloudinary so uploads, resizing and delivery do not depend on the deployment's filesystem.
Outcomes
- Live demo verified loading on 2 Nov 2026.
- Full shopping flow: browse, cart, product management and admin dashboard.
- Dashboard shows revenue, trending items and recent payment history from real data models.
No invented users, revenue or performance numbers are claimed here. What is listed above is what was built and verified.
What I would do differently
Add a demo health check so portfolio links can never silently point at a dead deployment, and separate the storefront and admin deployments once traffic justifies it.
